The Vaughn Family

Tobin had a big day yesterday. He rode the carosel at Riverfront Park, stood by himself by choice for about 10 secs, had mandarin oranges and mac n' cheese at Friday's and heard the big clock tower strike 6 pm (we were only about 100 ft away) all for the first time!

Yep, Tobin is a year old!! We had a great time celebrating his big day with his grandparents, Beth and Mike and my grandparents, Grandpa Al and Grandma Karen. The photos below are of him playing in and with all of his new toys.

The Vaughn Family

Tobin is now 6 months old. He has a 6 month appointment with his doctor on Wednesday so I will add in his height:___ weight:____ and head circumference when we know their measurements. His eyes are still blue but they have a neat brown/green ring near the pupils. His hair is almost blonde and long enough to get a pretty good mohawk.
We have learned quite a bit in these last months. Tobin is eating oatmeal and banana's. He playfully screeches, sticks out his tongue and sucks on it a lot. He is also playing with his toys now. He sticks them in his mouth most of the time, but he is aware of them. He can even hit his ball with one hand and shake his rattle with the other. He loves to hear voices on the phone. When we have our phone on speaker, he coos and giggles and reaches for it.
We are going to start feeding him more different solid foods this week. This month he will get sweet potatoes, squash, pears, papayas and mangos (if we can get them at the health food store that is). Dave and I are goind to puree his food at home and see how that works.

Christmas morning at our hous.

First gift of the morning.

Tobin's first gift was opened at Grandma and Grandpa Vaughn's house Christmas eve. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa!

Jake charging his batteries before his Christmas day adventure.

Tobin, Grandma's gift isn't that bad is it?

Cousin Maddy eagerly anticipates santa coming to town.

Uncle Dusty with visions of sugar plums dancing in his head.

Tobin is so happy to see his family!

Grandma Vaughn and cousin Luke decorated gingerbread cookies. Grandma also decorated Luke's nose!

Look at the family resemblance.
